Why Little Joeys?

Little Joeys is a product line dedicated to all the Fisher grandchildren.

Joseph & Allison JoAnn are 2 of the 25 Fisher grandchildren and the inspiration behind “Little Joeys.” They both have special needs, and the challenges they deal with on a daily basis have touched the entire Fisher family. The crosses our “little Joeys” carry have united our family and inspired this new line of high quality protein snacks.

Every parent knows that having convenient, nutritious, and high protein snacks to grab and go on busy nights make life easier. However, finding high quality snacks is no easy task. Knowing these products are made by family for family, with the finest ingredients, gives us peace in knowing that we are able to provide the best for ourselves and our children.

Because our family has been blessed with special needs children, we have had the privilege of encountering genuine kindness from countless people along our journey. We will never be able to pay back the kind of generosity we’ve been shown, but we can pay it forward! When you support Little Joeys, a portion of our proceeds will be given to others on their journey with special needs.

A little about the West Walnut Sisters...

Two sisters unite to carry on the family legacy.

Jaime and Emily grew up in the Fisher family meat business located on West Walnut Street in Portland, Indiana. Their parents owned and operated the meat business for many years following the death of their grandfather in 1966. The sisters graduated college, married, and carried on their own careers. They both have five children and each have one with special needs. Emily’s son has autism and Jaime’s daughter has a rare abdominal wall birth defect. Working outside the home has become increasingly difficult while managing the needs of their families and the challenges of special needs. With this reality, they have joined hands. They are working together to carry on the one thing they’ve always known, Fisher Meats. Their grandparents started the business, their parents followed in their footsteps, and their 4 brothers have come together to carry on the name and legacy of quality products. Fisher Quality Meats has won awards at the state, national, and international levels. They are true craftsmen of their trade. The sisters have made it their mission to share the tradition with your families! As they look to the future, they are hopeful the family business will continue to bless the next generations.

Nowadays, generations later, we're proud to say we're still family-owned and operated. And while we've changed to keep up with the busier times, our goal has remained exactly the same.
